Following Graduation from Liverpool John Moores University in 1991, Colin joined Edmund Nuttall as a Quantity Surveyor and followed the Nuttall ICES training programme.
In 1993 Colin Joined Lagan Holdings Limited as a Senior quantity surveyor, and progressed to Project manager in 1994 on a military airfield project.
Over the following 23 years at Lagan I developed the Airport and International business into one of the most respected in the UK and completed projects in more than 30 countries including UK & Ireland, Denmark, Hong Kong, Vanuatu, FIJI, Solomon Islands, Jamaica, Barbados, Surinam, Guyana, British Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Bahamas, Bermuda, Montserrat, Anquilla, St Lucia, Cayman Islands, US(Florida, Maryland, North Dakota, Washington DC), Sierra Leone, Cyprus, Gibraltar and Pakistan.
I was Commercial Director on the construction of the pavements at the new airport at Chek Lap Kok in Hong Kong and had my first experience of Arbitration. In 2010 I became Chief Executive of Lagan Construction Group and overseen the growth of the business from £100m to £350m.
In March 2017 I stepped down from the Chief Executive position to follow my interest in dispute resolution and I am now an Arbitrator, Adjudicator and an experienced expert witness.
I believe that my experience not only in construction but in how a large construction business operates I bring huge benefits to clients on assisting with strategy when disputes arise.
