Mr. Colin Naisbitt is a Quantity Surveyor with over 40 years experience in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Civil Engineering and Building sectors of the Construction Industry. He has provided a range of consultancy services including advice on claims, final accounts, contract negotiation, procurement and contractual arrangements, contract interpretation and contract documentation. His employers and clients have included international petrochemical manufacturers, international EPC contractors, subcontractors, liquidators and administrators.
He has also appeared as a witness of fact in TCC (EWHC 2916 (TCC)). Mr. Naisbitt has used his technical expertise and experience in resolving complex quantum disputes, including assisting the expert in the preparation of independent expert reports on quantum analysis for variation, prolongation and loss and profit claims, including assessment in arbitration and adjudication between the dispute parties. He has knowledge and understanding of all the major forms of Contract which include, JCT, ICE, ICC, FIDIC and other bespoke forms.
