Capital Consulting International (CCi), a global leader in integrated delay, quantum and technical expert solutions to the insurance and construction industries, is celebrating 25 years in business.
The business was started in 1998 by Alan Purbrick, CEO, delivering claims services to a small group of loyal clients. Over the past 25 years, CCi, through acquisition and organic growth, has expanded its operations to a global organisation, employing more than 200 professionals across 21 offices worldwide.
CCi’s story of growth and global expansion
From 1998 to 2018 CCi focused on servicing the insurance market with delay analysis and timeline assessments on DSU and BI claims, quickly establishing itself as a world leader in this field. The business was based in the UK, with offices in the USA and Singapore.
In 2019, the acquisition of CNS Consult, a specialist consultancy of forensic delay, quantum, and engineering experts serving the construction and engineering industries, allowed CCi to enhance its service offering. This allowed CCi to expand its presence into London, Manchester, Glasgow and Dubai.
In 2020, CCi acquired a team of quantum and delay expert witnesses from Gardiner & Theobald Fairway in the United Kingdom, further strengthening its expert service offering in the international arbitration space.
The most recent 2021 acquisition of Aston Consult, a dynamic team of 30 quantum and delay professionals, operating across Australia and New Zealand, expanded CCi’s reach and allowed it to offer its clients in the construction disputes and insurance claims markets a truly global service.
Rimkus acquires CCi
In 2021, Rimkus, a worldwide provider of forensic engineering and technical consulting services based in the USA, acquired CCi. As a result of the acquisition, Rimkus significantly expanded its international footprint from North and South America into the United Kingdom, Middle East and Asia Pacific, and allowed CCi to offer a truly integrated service of time, cost and engineering in both the insurance and construction space, around the world.
Most recently, in 2022, CCi acquired Hargreaves Jones, a UK based consultancy employing more than 40 commercial and project management professionals serving the energy and infrastructure markets, with office locations in Abu Dhabi, Malaysia and Saudi Arabia.
