Panel C2 (10:30 – 12:00): Practical tips for parties on using party-appointed experts in common law jurisdictions

Sezgin is a testifying Delay Expert with 17 years’ experience in the construction industry. His expertise lies in on-site practice, specialising in implementing various project control techniques to ensure effective change management on large-scale construction projects and preparing and managing multiple schedules for simultaneous projects. He has provided service to project owners, main contractors, and subcontractors concerning mediation, neutral evaluation, arbitration and litigation matters across both public and private sectors.  

Sezgin has dealt with diverse delay-related issues in major capital projects, including oil and gas, power, greenfield urban development, subsea pipelines, mining, wastewater processing, utilities infrastructure, solar farms, and transportation infrastructure, and commercial, residential, and technical building projects.  His professional experience extends internationally, including Australia, China, Hong Kong, Macau, Malaysia, Vietnam, Singapore, India, Indonesia, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Romania. Sezgin is recognised by Who’s Who Legal as a Future Leader in Construction Delay and Quantum in 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021; a Global Leader in Construction Expert Witnesses in 2022; and a National Leader in Southeast Asia Construction Expert Witnesses in 2022.
