Mr. Adam Harris’s has over 27 years experience in the construction sector, 25 of which spent working for a Tier 1 contractor in various site based and regional roles across building, civil, rail, heavy-industry and maintenance disciplines. Specialising in commercial roles, Mr. Harris has lead commercial and legal teams managing tendering, delivery, variations and claims, dispute resolution, insolvency, payment claims, payment schedules and Security of Payment Act requirements. He has prepared training packages for project teams, company personnel and management on various contractual elements, risks and processes.
His key commercial achievements during this time include negotiation and implementation of head contracts, consultancy and subcontract agreements on behalf of joint ventures for major public and private infrastructure projects (including PPPs); negotiation of design and construct, construct only and construction management head contracts; management, review and resolution of project based contractual issues; mentoring personnel in commercial principles; management, preparation and resolution of variations, extensions of time, disputes and claims for insurance at both head contract and subcontractor levels. The experience gained by Mr. Harris across multiple disciplines and contracts enables him to apply commercial acumen across all stages of a project from its tender to delivery and the preparation, management, defence or resolution of contractual issues that arise.
