Dr. Stuart Carmichael is an established and vastly experienced delay expert with over 30 years’ experience in the construction and engineering industry across various sectors. He has worked internationally in Asia, Europe, India, Latin America, the UAE and Gulf region, and the UK. He specialises in forensic delay, disruption and risk analysis, project controls, planning, programme and claims management and dispute resolution.

Stuart has produced analysis and reports for extension of time, prolongation, concurrency, and disruption claims on numerous international construction and engineering projects and has been cross examined on multiple occasions in international arbitration proceedings.

He has also contributed to numerous high profile UK Government funded research projects regarding project planning for a range of organisations such as the National Audit Office (NAO) and the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister (ODPM).

Stuart also has extensive experience of lecturing and the delivery of training workshops on project management & forensic planning. He strongly believes in the education of internal client personnel and knowledge transfer and has authored and co-authored numerous papers and reports.
