Katherine is a qualified Mechanical Engineer having acted as the appointed expert and as assistant expert in planning matters in litigation and alternative dispute resolution processes in the UK for claimants and respondents. She has experience of construction management, and project engineering on a number of M&E / process lead projects and on shore windfarm construction projects in the UK.
Katherine has experience of project planning from tender through to commissioning of live projects but her recent experience in the last 13 years has been through forensic delay analysis for dispute resolution. This expert work has involved forensic investigation of design through to construction delays on various types of construction project : mixed use development of commercial / residential building; high rise apartments; luxury fit out of private residence; structural steel construction and steel bridges; ground remediation work at former steelworks site; MEP replacement at Boots HQ; Building work at retirement complex; M&E services work at University Science Laboratory; Airport runway extension work; PUI works at Harbour; Water repumping station / CHP works; Highways construction delays; impact of flood event on building conversion; biomass / bulk handling process plant;
Katherine’s major construction project experience includes water treatment and process treatment Infrastructure and onshore windfarms (civil & electrical works), including planning, procurement, contract formation, change management, and cost management.
