2400MW Hydro Power Plant

Failure of the Auxiliary Diversion Tunnel (ADT) and subsequent flooding of the underground power complex caused severe delay to the completion of this project, resulting in fundamental changes in the design. Detailed investigations were undertaken in accordance with the insurance policy exclusions to establish which delay events were attributable solely to the damage to the ADT or GAD as opposed to consequential delays caused by the defect improvement works or events unrelated to the incident. CCi’s analysis was relied upon to establish an agreement between the insured and insurers.
