Double Deck Tunnel

A series of incidents concerning a Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) with a diameter of 13.7m, were claimed to have caused delay to the critical path of the project. CCi was appointed as the independent delay analyst to objectively separate delay resulting from damage, from that attributable to defect rectification and general project delays. Utilising a collapsed as-built method of analysis, CCi successfully demonstrated that the TBM incidents had not actually impacted the project’s progress.
