Following a large explosion and subsequent fire at a chemical manufacturing plant CCi was appointed by insurers to assess the duration of repairs required to restore the plant to its pre-loss production capacity. CCi’s analysis identified a number of additional construction activities in the rebuild timeline that were not required to repair the property to the condition it was in prior to the loss and amounted to an improved design of the plant.
